How do I participate in research surveys?

You will receive an email invitation with information about one of our surveys. This email will include a link to our survey website. The link will include a unique identifying code, which will allow only you to take the survey and will ensure that the credit for taking the survey is attributed to you. Once the survey has been completed, your information will be recorded.

How many emails can I expect to receive from Meredith Voices?

On average, Meredith Voices members receive email invitations to participate in eight unique surveys each month. Members may receive up to two reminder emails for each unique survey. You may also be contacted to confirm your acceptance of a sweepstakes prize. In addition, you may also receive one special email offer each month from Meredith Voices.

Why do you ask personal information in your survey?

We collect a wide range of information about respondents based on our research goals. Generally, surveys may request certain personal, identifiable, financial and/or demographic information and your specific opinions about a variety of goods and services, among other things. We use this information to divide our community into interest groups for analytical purposes and to send you surveys that are pertinent to your interests and characteristics. Most information is voluntarily provided and you may decline to answer most questions.

Do I have to participate every time I am invited to take a survey?

We encourage you to participate in surveys when you receive the invitations. However, your membership will not be affected if you choose not to participate in a particular survey.

How long do surveys take to complete?

On average, each survey will take 10 to 15 minutes. This time may vary depending on the speed of your Internet connection or browser.

What if I’m not receiving any emails from Meredith Voices?

If you haven’t received any survey invitations within one month of joining Meredith Voices you can check a couple of things:

Make sure you saved our email address meredithvoices@dotdashmdp.com to your “safe senders” list.

If you have a GMAIL account, you can add our email address meredithvoices@dotdashmdp.com to your contacts list in GMAIL to ensure delivery.

  • If any of our emails go to your SPAM folder use GMAIL’s “Not SPAM” button to unmark mail that has been misclassified. Just open your SPAM folder, check the box next to the email that isn’t SPAM, and click “Not SPAM” along the top.

  • You’ll also see the “Not SPAM” button at the top of SPAM messages you’ve opened, so you can also unmark messages from Conversation View. Unmarking emails moves them to your inbox.

  • If you do not see our emails in your inbox or SPAM folder, make sure to check your GMAIL promotions tab (if you have that feature enabled) and move them to your inbox.

If you still think you’re having an issue you can contact us using the “Contact Us” link at the bottom of this screen.

Technical Challenges

What computer technology do I need to participate in surveys?

An internet connection on a desktop computer, laptop, tablet or smartphone is all you need to participate in most of our surveys.

How do I address any technical problems I encounter while taking a survey?

From time to time, there may be some technical problems with our servers or surveys when too many people try to access a survey at the same time. If you are experiencing a technical problem, feel free to contact our support team by clicking on the "Help" link of the survey. From there, just let us know what survey you are taking and the problem you have encountered. We'll get back to you shortly with a solution or an explanation of the circumstances behind the technical difficulties.
